Emperor Tenmu 天武天皇 Tenmu Tenno (? - 9 Sept 686JOS / 1 Oct 686JC) was a 40th Emperor of Japan (27 Feb 673JOS / 20 Mar 673JC - 9 Sept 686JOS / 1 Oct 686JC). Personal name was Oo-ama 大海人, traditional Japanese posthumous name was Ame-no-nunahara-oki-no-mahito-no-mikoto 天渟中原瀛眞人尊.
